Precise adjustment of the sliding roof is a prerequisite for its perfect operation. However, detailed descriptions would be beyond the scope of this manual. If the sliding roof is difficult to operate, lubrication is carried out (Chapter Lubrication of all parts). If the sliding roof does not move at all, then it remains to check the corresponding circuit breaker (chapter Electrical equipment). The sliding roof control unit on the support with additional relays cannot be tested independently.

Leaky retractable roof

The reason for the leaky retractable roof is clogged drain pipes, which are installed one at each of the four corners of the retractable roof box. The principle of operation: water can penetrate into the retractable roof box, but it must drain.
  • Therefore, if the retractable roof is not sealed, clean all four drain hoses.
  • Both rear drain holes are difficult to access even with the roof folded back (shine a flashlight into the retractable roof box).
  • The front drain hoses end at the height of the lower hinge of the front door. Both rear hoses end under the sides of the rear bumper (remove the side from the bracket.
