If a fault prevents the sliding roof from working, it can be closed using the crank (arrow), which is secured with clips in the fuse box cover when not in use. Insert the crank into the Allen key under the plastic cap at the front centre of the roof.
The fully automatic electric sliding roof automatically moves to the position selected on the rotary switch, without the need to press any switches. The sliding roof control has a built-in comfort locking device - holding the key in the "closed" position for a long time closes all windows and the sliding roof.
In vehicles with electric windows, the sliding roof is ready to operate when the ignition is switched on and for 30 seconds after it is switched off. In vehicles without electric windows, the sliding roof can only be operated when the ignition is switched on.
In case of a malfunction, you can only check the fuse in the fuse box yourself; if there is an electric drive, the electrical circuit will help (chapter Electrical equipment).

The text to the photo above explains how to close the roof if the electrical equipment fails.
