Dismantling the mirror assembly
- 1 - fixing screw;
- 2 - molded part made of foam for noise insulation;
- 3 - multi-pin connector.
Dismantling of mirror glass (4)
- 1 - black lining below the mirror;
- 2 - cladding screws;
- 3 - servomotor.

Chassis removal (1) mirrors
- 2 - mirror bracket;
- 3 - servomotor;
- 4 - mirror glass.

Mirror glass replacement
The mirror glass in the mirrors of the Audi A4 is fixed only with spring clips. Dismantling:
1. Loosen both Phillips screws at the bottom of the mirror and remove the black trim.
2. Slide the cover to the side in order to remove the retainers.
3. Put on work gloves if there are chips.
4. Through the hole at the bottom of the mirror, you can reach several clips that secure the mirror glass to the servomotor.
5. Remove the accessible latches from the slots with a screwdriver - then you can completely wring out the glass.
6. Disconnect the mirror heating connector.
7. When mounting, insert the mirror glass into the friction springs on the housing. Install the glass on the servomotor ring and press it so that it fits into the retainers.
8. Press the middle of the glass and put on the gloves again.
Removing the mirror housing
1. Remove the mirror glass.
2. Unscrew the servomotor and remove.
3. Unscrew the three screws and remove the housing from the bracket upwards.
Dismantling the mirror assembly
1. Press out the black decorative triangular panel in the front side window triangle from the inside.
2. Disconnect the multi-pin connector.
3. Unscrew the fixing screw of the mirror leg.
4. Remove the mirror assembly.
