Removal the mirror assembly



Removal the mirror assembly

  • 1 - mounting screw;
  • 2 - shaped foam part for sound insulation;
  • 3 - multi-pin connector.

  • 1 - black trim below the mirror;
  • 2 - facing screws;
  • 3 - servo motor.

  • 3 - servo motor;
  • 4 - mirror glass.

Replacing mirror glass



Mirror glass in the Audi A4 mirrors is secured only with spring clips. Removal:

1. Loosen both Phillips head screws at the bottom of the mirror and remove the black trim.

2. Move the trim to the side to remove the clips.

3. Wear work gloves if there are chips.

4. Through the hole at the bottom of the mirror you can get to several clips that secure the mirror glass to the servo motor.

5. Remove the accessible fasteners from the grooves with a screwdriver - then you can completely press the glass.

6. Disconnect the mirror heating connector.

7. When installing, insert the mirror glass into the friction springs on the housing. Place the glass on the servomotor ring and press it so that it enters the clamps.

8. Press the center of the glass and put your gloves back on.

Removal the mirror housing



1. Remove the mirror glass.

2. Unscrew the servo motor and remove.

3. Unscrew the three screws and lift the housing up from the bracket.

Removal the mirror assembly



1. Press the black decorative triangular panel in the triangle of the front side window from the inside.

2. Disconnect the multi-pin connector.

3. Unscrew the mirror base mounting screw.

4. Remove the mirror assembly.
