Removal the shock-absorbing strips
Unfortunately, the varnished side strips cannot be removed from the doors without destroying them. Those who are ambitious can try to remove the strip by first heating it with a hair dryer to 40°C. Then press the strip out of the lining with a screwdriver wrapped in a rag (to protect the varnish). On the back side of the doors, press out the black plugs.
1. During installation, the metal surface of the door or wing must be clean, dust-free and degreased. In addition, the metal and the strip must be at room temperature.
2. Remove the protective film from the strip immediately before installation.
3. Insert the strip with the pins into the holes, align and press in the gluing area - especially at the ends.
4. Additionally, press the strip firmly (100 N/cm²) or roll it with a wallpaper roller.
5. During the curing period (4 hours) the car must be at room temperature.
