Clutch release mechanism elements (gearbox 01E)

Removal
1. Remove the gearbox.
2. Remove the clutch release lever from the ball joint. On the 012 gearbox, press the spring clip and remove the lever from the support.
3. Remove the bearing from the lever (gearbox 012).
4. On models with 01E gearbox, unscrew the mounting bolt and remove the elastic plate. Remove the bearing and lever.
Inspection
Check the bearing for ease of rotation. Replace the bearing if it is worn.
Installation
1. Lubricate the ball joint and the clutch release lever joint with copper grease. Lubricate the release bearing.
2. On the 012 gearbox, install the spring on the clutch release lever and insert the spring into the hole.
3. Install the lever and bearing in place. Tighten the mounting bolt. Install the lever on the ball joint so that the spring clip secures the lever.
4. On models with 01E gearbox, install the intermediate mount onto the lever, then install the lever and bearing in place. Tighten the mounting bolt.
