Tap on serviceable mufflers with a hammer over the entire surface, including the end sides. Don't be overly shy, though.
If you hear a ringing sound with each blow, this means that the muffler tin is still in order.
It is very important to follow the assembly sequence of the components in the spring-loaded bracket shown in the upper figures. This shows the correct placement of the individual components.
At the front suspension of the main muffler, the retaining rubber loop is supplemented from below with a rubber shock absorber, like a stop.
Maintenance point «Check of a suspension bracket and a condition of system of release of the fulfilled gases» contains the control of the rubber pads shown in these figures (arrows). They must not be damaged, i.e. be torn or otherwise damaged, otherwise they should be replaced. Also, make sure that the safety clips of the steel bracket at the retaining rings are bent 90 degrees so that the retaining ring does not protrude by mistake. Do not tighten the retaining ring. In the drawings on the right, this safety clip is clearly visible at the bottom of the mounting ring.
If in some places the sound becomes more deaf, then the outer shell is already weakened and holes will soon appear; especially if it is a cold season outside, during which salt is used.
When buying spare parts, remember that seals and self-locking nuts must be replaced with new ones.
