Removal and installation of the clutch release bearing
It is forbidden to flush the clutch release bearing; if there is increased noise when the clutch is released, replace the bearing.
Remove the clutch release fork retaining spring.
Remove the clutch release bearing from the guide sleeve and unfasten the retaining clips.
Do not apply grease to the clutch release bearing guide bush.
Slide the clutch release bearing together with the retaining clips onto the guide bushing.
Install two mounting springs on the bearing, then on the axle of the clutch fork.
Make sure that the action of the return spring moves the clutch release fork towards the gearbox housing. Make sure the clutch release fork lever is 185mm apart (size «A», see photo) from the tip of the cable sheath with the clutch pedal released.
Checking the position of the clutch fork lever: size «A» should be equal to 185 mm
Clutch pedal free play adjustment
Check the clutch pedal free play before disengaging the clutch, which should not exceed 15 mm. If necessary, adjust the free play of the clutch pedal with the nut and the area where the cable is attached to the casing of the left front suspension strut.
