Removal and installation the clutch release bearing

It is prohibited to flush the clutch release bearing; if increased noise occurs when disengaging the clutch, replace the bearing.

Remove the clutch release fork retaining spring.

Remove the clutch release bearing from the guide sleeve and unfasten the retaining clips.

Do not apply grease to the clutch release bearing guide bushing.

Place the clutch release bearing and retaining clips onto the guide sleeve.

Install the two mounting springs onto the bearing, then onto the clutch release fork axles.

Make sure that the return spring moves the clutch release fork toward the gearbox housing. Make sure that the clutch release fork lever is 185 mm (dimension "A", see photo) from the end of the cable sheath when the clutch pedal is released.

Checking the position of the clutch fork lever: dimension «A» should be 185 mm

Adjusting the clutch pedal free travel

Check the clutch pedal free travel before the clutch starts to disengage, which should not exceed 15 mm. If necessary, adjust the clutch pedal free travel with the nut and the area where the cable is attached to the left front suspension strut casing.
