Detailed technical specifications of the clutch (Audi 100 C3)

The clutch is dry, single-disk, with a central pressure spring. On vehicles with gearboxes of types 013, 014 II and 093, the release drive is mechanical, cable, gap-free, on vehicles with gearbox of type 016 - hydraulic.

Slave clutch disc with elastic hub. Clutch release bearing is ball, self-centering.

Since January 1988, all vehicles have been equipped with a clutch with a hydraulic release drive.

Maximum permissible non-flatness of the working surface of the pressure disk during operation, mm: 0.3.

Outside diameter of driven disk, mm:

• cars with gearbox types 013 and 014 II: 210;
• cars with gearbox type 093: 215;
• vehicles with gearbox type 016: 288.

Maximum permissible end runout of the driven disk when measured at a distance of 2.5 mm from the outer diameter. mm 0.4.

When installing the clutch, position the driven disc with the protruding part of the hub towards the pressure plate.

Free travel of the clutch pedal for vehicles with gearbox types 013, 014 II and 093, no more than, mm: 15.

Clutch pedal height above brake pedal for vehicles with type 016 gearbox, mm: 10.

Maximum pressure in the hydraulic clutch release drive, kg/cm²: 2.5.
