Raise the rear of the vehicle using a jack stand.
Unscrew bolt 1 (see photo) securing the lower end of the shock absorber.

Loosen the nuts securing the upper shock absorber support.
On vehicles with a body position regulator, drain the oil from the system by unscrewing the air bleed nipple of the distributor, and disconnect the regulator hydraulic system line from the shock absorber.
Remove the suspension assembly.
Install the suspension unit in the reverse order of removal. If necessary, replace the lower shock absorber mounting bolt and tighten the threaded connections to the required torque.
