Disassembly
Remove the suspension assembly as above.
Compress the rear suspension spring using tool 1403.
Loosen the damper rod nut.
Remove the support ring, upper support, upper spring seat and spring from the shock absorber.
On vehicles with rear suspension without adjuster, remove buffer, guard and lower spring seat (note that on vehicles with reinforced suspension, the buffer has a spacer).
On vehicles with a body positioner, remove the adjuster tubing fitting, washer, buffer, guard, and lower spring seat. Then remove the two o-rings from the shock absorber rod.
Assembly
Assemble the suspension assembly in the reverse order of disassembly, taking into account the following:
- install the suspension spring and its upper and lower support cups as shown in the figure;
- on cars with a body position regulator, slide the nozzle of the pipeline fitting onto the piston rod with the threaded part towards the hole in the upper support cup of the spring;
- check the correct fit of the sealing rings;
- replace the self-locking damper rod nut;
- tighten the threaded connections to the required torque.
