Disassembly
Remove the suspension assembly as described above.
Compress the rear suspension spring using tool 1403.
Loosen the shock absorber rod nut.
Remove the shock absorber support ring, upper support, upper spring support cup and spring.
On vehicles with rear suspension without a body adjuster, remove the bumper, protective cover and lower spring support cup (please note that on vehicles with reinforced suspension the buffer has a spacer sleeve).
On vehicles with a body position adjuster, remove the adjuster line nipple, washer, buffer, protective cover and lower spring support plate. Then remove the two O-rings from the shock absorber rod.
Assembly
Assemble the suspension unit in the reverse order of disassembly, taking into account the following:
- install the suspension spring and its upper and lower support cups as shown in the figure;
- on vehicles with a body position regulator, slide the pipe fitting onto the piston rod with the threaded part towards the hole in the upper support cup of the spring;
- check that the sealing rings are seated correctly;
- replace the shock absorber rod self-locking nut;
- tighten the threaded connections to the required torque.
