Disconnect the parking brake cables from the rear wheel brakes.
On vehicles with fuel injected engines, remove the fuel tank bracket mounting bolts and remove it from the console.
Disconnect the brake hoses from the service brake system lines, taking measures to prevent brake fluid leakage.
Unscrew bolt 4 (see photo) Panhard rod mounts.
Disconnect the rear brake pressure regulator spring.

On vehicles with a body position regulator, remove the control valve drive rods.
Place a jack stand under the rear suspension without raising the vehicle.
Unscrew the bolts securing the lower ends of the shock absorbers on both sides of the vehicle
Unscrew bolts 2 securing the longitudinal suspension arms to the body brackets.
Lower and remove the rear suspension.
Install the rear suspension in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- replace the self-locking bolts securing the lower ends of the shock absorbers.
- tighten bolts and nuts to the specified torque.
- after installing the rear suspension, bleed the brake hydraulic system;
- on vehicles with rear drum brakes, adjust the parking brake system.
