2. Release the small retaining ring securing the rubber dust cap to the plunger, remove the plunger, then the dust cap.
3. Push the piston out of the cylinder. Lift the piston, then the return spring.
4. Remove the dust cap from the bleed nipple, unscrew the nipple from the cylinder.
5. Remove the piston insulation, wash the components in clean hydraulic fluid. Wipe dry.
6. Inspect all components of the slave cylinder. If the cylinder is in satisfactory condition, install new insulation on the piston, with the sealing lip facing the spring. Lubricate the parts completely with clean hydraulic fluid, assemble the cylinder.
