When a powerful current consumer is turned on or the range for driving an automatic transmission is turned on, the engine speed decreases or the engine stalls altogether. In this case, the sequence of ignition pulses falls below the value set in the DLS, the unit shifts the ignition timing in the advance direction with shorter ignition pulses. With an increase in the number of revolutions, the DLS is switched off from work.
