As part of maintenance, it is not necessary to set and adjust the idle speed, ignition timing and CO content, since the values of these parameters are regulated by the electronic unit of the engine management system in accordance with previously specified requirements.
If the actual values of the parameters differ from the required ones, then the sensors or actuators of the system have failed and need to be replaced. Checking the engine management system is only possible using special diagnostic equipment. Reprogramming the idle speed of the engine management system can be done using a VAG diagnostic device.
