Checking and adjusting idle speed / ignition / CO concentration (Audi A4 B6)

As part of maintenance, no adjustment of idle speed/ignition timing and CO concentration is required, as these values are continuously adjusted by the electronic control system.

If the actual operating values differ from the specified ones, the cause lies in the damage of the system element, which must be replaced. A qualified check of the engine management system is only possible using special devices.

Warning: The idle speed may be slightly changed by reprogramming the control unit using a diagnostic tool.
