Checking the ignition and fuel injection system (Audi A6 C5)

Systematic troubleshooting requires the use of specific measuring instruments. These instruments are very expensive and are usually only available at service stations.

Therefore, only a basic check is given below.

• Check the condition and voltage of the battery.
• Check the fuses for proper operation.
• Check the electrical connections for tightness. In the engine compartment, check that all electrical connectors and wires are securely fastened.
• Check the reliability of the connection and the presence of electrical contact on the wires connecting the units and assemblies to the ground.

Check the tightness of the hoses and pipes. Pay attention to the absence of porosity and cracks on the flexible hoses.
