Adjusting the Throttle and Shift Cables (automatic transmission type 087)

1. Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.

2. Leave the engine running at idle speed.

3. Disconnect rod 10 (see Fig. Automatic transmission type 087)) throttle drive from lever 9.

4. Remove the cruise control mechanism.

5. Adjust the length of the rod 10 with the tip 11, turning the lever 9 until it stops so that it is attached to the lever 12 of the throttle valve and to the lever 9 without tension. In this case, the throttle valve must be completely closed.

6. Disconnect throttle control rod 6 from lever 16.

7. Press accelerator pedal 14 all the way down and lock it in this position.

8. Disconnect return spring 1 from lever 16.

9. Turn lever 16 to the limiter.

10. In this position, connect rod 6 to lever 16 and install spring 1.

11. Check the correct operation of the throttle valve and gear shifting.

Adjusting the Throttle and Shift Cables (automatic transmission type 089)

1. Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.

2. Leave the engine running at idle speed.

3. Disconnect cable 9 (see Fig. Automatic transmission type 089) from lever 16.

4. Loosen adjusting nuts 10 securing the cable to bracket 8.

5. With the throttle valve fully closed, secure cable 9.

6. Using adjusting nuts 10, eliminate the sagging of the cable sheath.

7. Disconnect spring 1 from lever 16.

8. Press accelerator pedal 14 all the way down and lock it in this position.

9. Disconnect cable 7 from lever 16.

10. Turn lever 16 to the limiter and fix it in this position.

11. Having pulled the cable 7 to the stop, fix it with a bolt in the lever 16.

12. Connect spring 1.

13. Check the correct operation of the throttle valve and gear shifting.

Adjusting the gear shift mechanism

1. Install lever 11 (see Fig. Gear shift control mechanism) selector to position "P".

2. Disconnect the cable from the selector lever by unscrewing nut 3.

3. Move lever 16 (see Fig. Automatic transmission type 087)) on the gearbox until it stops (to the position corresponding to the "P" position of the selector lever).

4. Tighten the cable and tighten the nut (see Fig. Gear shift control mechanism) its fastening.

5. Check that gear shifting is correct.
