Execution order

1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Disconnect the high-voltage wires from the distributor cap.

3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum corrector.

4. Disconnect the sensor connector block.

5. Set the crankshaft to the TDC position of the piston of the 1st cylinder, corresponding to the compression stroke (see subsection 3.2.2.1).

6. Loosen the holder mounting bolt and remove the holder.

7. Pull the ignition distributor upwards and remove the gasket.

8. Install the ignition distributor in the reverse order. Replace the gasket before installation. After installing the distributor, adjust the ignition.

9. If the distributor was removed and you did not mark or remember its position before that (the crankshaft was turned, etc.), you can do the following: Set the crankshaft to the TDC position of the piston of the 1st cylinder of the compression stroke.

9. If the distributor was removed and you did not mark or remember its position before that (the…

10. Remove the distributor cap, turn the runner so that the center of the runner contact is aligned with the mark on the distributor body.

11. Insert the distributor into the hole in the cylinder block (head), turn it slightly clockwise. When the distributor drive gear engages, the distributor will sit in place and the runner will align with the mark again. Screw in and tighten the distributor mounting bolts.
