Adjusting the throttle opening (Pierburg 1B3) (Audi 100 C3)

The throttle position is adjusted at the factory and no adjustment is required during operation. However, if the adjustment has been disturbed, it must be restored.

Execution order

1. Remove the plug from the stop screw (1).

2. Connect a vacuum gauge in parallel to the distributor vacuum regulator.

3. Start and warm up the engine.

4. Turn the screw so that the vacuum increases.

5. Turn the screw out until a minimum vacuum is achieved, then turn it out another half turn.

6. Adjust the idle speed of a warm engine.

7. Install the plug on the screw.
