Note: The rear wheel panel trim and wheel housing components are supplied as separate parts.
Remove the rear wing panel. Chisel off the part of the half-casing adjacent to the floor of the luggage compartment as close to the mating line as possible, drill out contact welding points with the half-casing of the wing and with the luggage compartment panel. Cut the front and rear pillars of the side window opening. Drill out contact welding points at the junctions with the side window frame, the front pillar and the rear pillar panel, the interior reinforcements, the interior stiffener, the front part of the longitudinal reinforcement of the roof and with the upper reinforcement of the luggage compartment opening. Clean the mating surfaces with a grinder. Prepare new parts, secure them to the landing bridges and check the gaps. Place a sheet of asbestos between the reinforcements so as not to burn the paintwork of the interior during welding. Perform welding.
Clean the welding areas, tin them and align them. Install the rear wing panel. Restore the protective coating of the bottom. Apply a bead of sealant at the junction with the luggage compartment panel. Treat the internal cavities with liquid wax.
