Connect a test bulb to the battery terminal and connect it in series to each of the spark plugs.
The light is on: the glow plug is OK.
Light does not light up: defective glow plug, replace. If the glow plug has a burnt pin, then the operating instructions must be strictly observed.
Glow plugs with burnt pin
Burnout of glow plug pins is most often the result of injector malfunctions. Blown pins cannot cause defects in or on glow plugs.
If such glow plugs are found when submitting complaints (arrow), it is not enough just to replace them. Injectors need to be checked (injection jet, rattling, pressure and tightness) (work must be carried out in the workshop).
Particular attention should be paid to the appearance of the jet at short rapid piston strokes (piston stroke in 4-6 seconds) (the jet should be compact and well atomized).
