Raise and securely support the vehicle.
With the engine not running, turn the steering wheel from lock to lock several times to release air from the system.
Add liquid to the reservoir (tank) until its level is 30 mm below the FULL mark.
Start the engine. As the fluid level in the reservoir decreases, add fluid so that its level is still below the 30 mm FULL mark.
Caution: When turning the steering wheel, do not apply more force than is necessary to do so.
Continue this procedure until air bubbles stop appearing in the tank.
Turn off the engine and press the brake pedal at least 20 times.
Add liquid to the required level.
Note: If the pump is removed during repair, it must be filled with liquid before installation.
