Fog lights from the parts store don't look good on the Audi's streamlined body, and they're difficult to securely mount in the right places. Therefore, it is necessary to install original fog lights (app. Part Nos. 4AO 941699 and 4AO 941700 for white light or 4AO 941699A and 4AO 941700A for yellow light), which means that it will be necessary to replace the bumper panel with a narrower one, which has holes for installing fog lights (app. Parts No. 4AO 853683F and 4AO 853684A). Additionally, you will need a fog lamp relay (part no. 141 951 253 B) and original dashboard switch (part no. 893 941 535). Next you need a plug (part no. 893 971 972), as well as two plug-in blocks for fog lights (2 x part no. 443 971 920).
Most of these parts are sold as a set (No. 4АО 998 139 or 4АО 998139А). True, plug-in pads are not included in the kit, and fog lights are mandatory for white light.
Remove front bumper panels.
Remove covers on instrument panel (next to the rear fog light switch), and also disassemble the switch itself.
Remove the cover under the dashboard on the left.
Using the wiring diagram in chapter «Electrical circuits» prepare, using plug-in blocks, a set of wires corresponding to the original wiring.
Insert the plastic dowel, install the fog lamp, connect the plug.
Attach a narrower panel for fog lights.
In the rear left relay box in the engine compartment, replace the wire bridge on the relay plug seat 4 with the fog lamp relay.
Connect switch (chapter «Instruments and accessories»).
Turn on. Check function in addition to parking, dipped or main beam.
