The fog lights from the auto parts store do not look very good on the streamlined body of the Audi, and they are also difficult to install securely in the right places. Therefore, it is necessary to install the original fog lights (parts No.4AO 941699 and 4AO 941700 for white light or 4AO 941699A and 4AO 941700A for yellow light), which means that you will need to replace the bumper panel with a narrower one that has holes for installing the fog lights (parts No.4AO 853683F and 4AO 853684A). In addition, you will need a fog light relay (part # 141 951 253 B) and an original switch for the instrument panel (part # 893 941 535). Next you will need a plug connector (part no. 893 971 972), as well as two plug connectors for the fog lights (2 x part no. 443 971 920).

Most of these parts are sold as a set (No. 4AO 998 139 or 4AO 998139A). However, the set does not include plug connectors, and fog lights are required for white light.

Remove the front bumper panels.

Remove the plugs on the instrument panel (next to the rear fog light switch), and also disassemble the switch itself.

Remove the cover under the dashboard on the left.

Using the electrical diagram in the chapter "Electrical diagrams" prepare a set of wires using plug-in terminal blocks that match the original wiring.

Insert the plastic key, install the fog light, connect the plug.

Attach a narrower panel for the fog lights.

In the relay block at the rear left in the engine compartment, replace the wire bridge on the plug-in seat of relay 4 with a fog lamp relay.

Connect the switch (chapter "Instruments and auxiliary devices").

Turn on. Check the operation in addition to the parking, low beam or high beam.
