Keihin carburetor mixture quality (composition) adjustment screw
- 1 - mixture quality (composition) adjustment screw;
- 2 - first chamber throttle control lever;
- 3 - pneumatic drive of the air damper
Execution order
1. Remove the carburetor and place a measuring cup underneath it.
2. Move the lever away from the automatic starting device and fix it in this position by inserting a rod with a diameter of 12 mm between the lever and the carburetor body.
3. Smoothly open and close the first chamber throttle valve ten times, thereby activating the accelerator pump.
4. Measure the amount of fuel in the measuring cup and divide the resulting value by ten. The result is the pump feed per cycle. The accelerator pump should feed (0.82±0.12) cm³ of fuel per cycle.
5. If you need to adjust the performance, bend the lever slightly (see Fig. Keihin Carburetor Parts) at the point where the release spring is attached.
