Execution order
1. Thoroughly wash all parts in gasoline or diesel fuel, wipe and dry.
2. Inspect the cams and journals of the camshaft. If the cams and journals have wear, scoring, deep scratches, cracks, etc., the camshaft is replaced.
3. Install the camshaft in the cylinder head, install the camshaft bearing caps, measure the axial clearance of the camshaft with an indicator, which should not exceed 0.15 mm. If the clearance is greater, replace the camshaft.
4. Measure the diameter of the journals of the shaft. The nominal diameter of the journals is 26.0 mm, the permissible minimum diameter of the journals is 25.75 mm. If the diameter of at least one journal is smaller, the shaft must be replaced.
5. Mount the camshaft on prisms and measure the runout on the middle journal with an indicator: the maximum permissible runout is 0.01 mm. If the runout is greater, replace the camshaft.
