Every day before leaving the garage, you must check:
1. Check the air pressure in the tires and, if necessary, bring it up to standard.
2. The oil level in the engine crankcase. It should be between the min and max marks on the oil level indicator (dipstick). If the level is below the min mark, add oil to the engine. You should add oil of the same brand as that poured into the engine crankcase. Make sure that the oil level in the crankcase is kept near the max mark. Do not pour oil above the max mark: this will lead to increased oil consumption.
3. Engine cooling system fluid level. The coolant level should be near the mark on the expansion tank. If necessary, add coolant to the expansion tank.
4. The brake fluid level in the brake master cylinder reservoir. It should be above the min mark. If necessary, add fluid to the reservoir up to the max mark.
5. Inspect the hoses and tubes of the fuel, cooling and lubrication systems of the engine. There should be no leaks of fuel, coolant or oil. If there are signs of leaks, tighten the hose clamps.
6. Serviceability of the service brake system and parking brake.
7. Serviceability of control and measuring instruments, windshield wiper, windshield washer, headlights, direction indicators and taillights. This check is carried out with the engine running.
