Execution order
1. Loosen the bolts securing the generator to the bracket, the generator adjusting bar, and the generator to the adjusting bar.
2. Rotate the alternator away from the engine block, thereby tightening the belt. The belt is tensioned correctly if it deflects 10–15 mm when pressed with a finger in the middle between the alternator pulley and the crankshaft pulley.
3. Tighten the generator mounting bolts (see subsection 12.1.3.1).
