The electrical equipment is made according to a single-wire scheme. The negative terminals of consumers and power sources are connected to the "ground", which functions as the second wire. The voltage in the network is 12 V.

Battery

On cars with 5 - cylinder engines, a battery with a nominal voltage of 12 V and a nominal capacity of 6.3 Ah is installed, on cars with 4 - cylinder engines and a manual transmission, a battery with a capacity of 45 Ah, on cars with 4 - cylinder engines and an automatic transmission, a battery with a capacity of 54 Ah. The positive terminal of the battery is connected to the starter and through the mounting block to the rest of the electrical equipment.

Always on (regardless of the position of the key in the ignition switch and after the key is removed) power supply circuits for the side light bulbs, ceiling light, luggage compartment lighting, horn, clock, cigarette lighter, radio receiver and centralized door locking system.

Generator

The cars were equipped with a three-phase Bosch alternator with a built-in rectifier block on nine valves (six rectifier diodes and three additional diodes) and an electronic voltage regulator. The stator windings are connected in a star. The rotor consists of an excitation winding, two contact rings are pressed onto the rotor shaft. The generator is cooled through the holes in the covers and by a fan mounted on the drive pulley. The generator is driven by a V-belt.
