The car's electrical equipment is made using a single-wire circuit. The negative terminal connects the power consumers to the car body ("ground"), which functions as the second wire.

The nominal voltage of the on-board network is 12 V.

To protect electrical circuits, they are used fuses, the color of which corresponds to the fuse protection current. The serviceability of the fuse is determined by the presence of wire guide, connecting the fuse contacts.

When working on electrical equipment, remove the ground cable from the battery to prevent the possibility of short-circuiting electrical circuits.

The engine electrical equipment consists of ignition, power supply, electric start, lighting and light signaling systems. In addition, the system includes control and measuring devices and additional equipment.

Warnings: To avoid damage to semiconductor devices (diodes and transistors), when performing work with electrical equipment, the following requirements must be met:

  • do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running, generator AC or any electrical connectors;
  • remove the wire from the negative terminal of the battery;
  • when performing electric welding work on a vehicle, turn it off generator alternating current and electronic control device;
  • do not allow the engine to run with the generator disconnected from the electrical system;
  • do not check the generator's serviceability by shorting its terminals to ground.
