Pic. 18–8. Arrangement of nuts of fastening of the block of fuses in a niche for legs of the passenger
The fuses are located in the fuse box located on the right side in the front passenger's footwell (see fig. 18–8).
Always replace the fuse with another fuse of the same rating. Each fuse is marked with the value of the protected current. Never replace a fuse more than once without determining the cause of the blown fuse.
Pic. 18–1. Visual check of fuse integrity
If the fuse is blown, then the conductor connecting the fuse contacts is broken (see fig. 18–1).
Pic. 18–2. Using tweezers to remove a fuse
Use a pair of tweezers to remove the fuse from the socket (pic. 18–2). The wire inside the blown fuse is broken.
Install a new fuse with the same current rating. The value of the protected current is indicated on the reverse side of each fuse. In addition, the color of the fuse body corresponds to the value of the protected current.
Current strength, A | Color |
5 | Light brown |
10 | Red |
15 | Blue |
20 | Yellow |
25 | White |
30 | Green |
If the installed fuse blows again, check the electrical circuit protected by the fuse.
Never replace a fuse with a jumper wire, as the vehicle's electrical equipment may be seriously damaged.
Warning: Characteristics of fuses and electrical circuits may change over time.
