Before replacing a fuse, disconnect the corresponding load and switch off the ignition.
The fuses are located in the fuse box located on the left side of the instrument panel (see fig. 14.1).
Open the cover, to do this, insert a screwdriver with the flat side down into the slot and press the cover (see fig. 14.2).
The list of used fuses is on the inside of the fuse box cover.
Additional fuses are located on the relay box, as well as on an additional relay holder under the relay box.
On the TDI diesel engine, the fuse for the preheater is located in the so-called "Block E" on the left behind the partition of the engine compartment, under the windshield.
If the fuse is blown, then the conductor connecting the fuse contacts is broken (see fig. 14.3).
To remove the fuse, use tweezers to remove the fuse from the socket (see fig. 14.4). Remove the fuse from the tweezers.
Install a new fuse rated for the same current (see fig. 14.5). On the reverse side, each fuse has an inscription about the value of the protected current. In addition, the color of the fuse also corresponds to the value of the protected current.
Reinstall the fuse block cover.
If the installed fuse blows again, check the electrical circuit protected by the fuse.
Never replace a fuse with a jumper wire, as the vehicle's electrical circuit may be seriously damaged.
