Fuses

1. The fuse box is located at the rear of the engine compartment on the right or left side of the storage chamber, depending on the model. To access the fuses, unfasten the fuse box cover clips and lift the cover. The fuse location, maximum current and protected circuits are indicated on the inside of the cover (photo). Each fuse has a specific color, the current is indicated on its body (photo).

2. Always replace the fuse with one of the same current. Never replace a fuse more than once without finding the cause of the fault.

Relays and control units

3. The main relays are located next to the fuses in the box and there is an additional mounting element for the relay on the lower left side of the panel.

4. Relays can be removed by simply pulling them out of their sockets. If the system controlled by the relay does not work and a fault in the relay is suspected, turn the system on and off and listen to the relay, it should click. If so, the fault is in parts of the system. If the relay does not turn on, then it is not receiving supply voltage, switching voltage, or is defective.

5. Control units for various systems are located in different parts of the vehicle. The location of the control units is shown in Fig. 12.1, 12.2 and 12.3.
