Removal
Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals.
Remove the horn switch trim panel manually.
Loosen the steering wheel mounting nut.
Remove the steering column switch cover by unscrewing the mounting clamp bolt.
Punch out the breakaway screw of the anti-theft device housing.
Remove the anti-theft device housing by lowering the steering shaft and support.
Remove the lower instrument panel trim, then remove the steering shaft support flange bolts.

After loosening the clamp bolt of the terminal connection, remove the steering shaft and support assembly.
Installation
When disassembling and assembling the steering shaft, correctly connect the upper and lower shafts, as shown in the photo. The lower shaft slides onto the upper shaft until it stops.
Install the steering shaft in the reverse order of removal, taking into account the following:
- check the operation of the anti-theft device before finally tightening the bolt with a shear head;
- first insert the steering shaft clamp with the shaft and the anti-theft device housing into the flange support, then into the crushable mounting bracket;
- before tightening the mounting clamp bolt, check the gap between the end of the steering wheel and the steering column switch housing, which should be 3 mm.
There should be a gap "a" of 3 mm between the steering wheel and the steering column switch cover
