Handbrake adjustment: 1 - adjusting nut
When replacing the brake pads, check and, if necessary, adjust the parking brake setting, for which
- set the parking brake lever to the lowest position;
- loosen the adjusting nut of the tensioner as much as possible;
- fully depress the brake pedal;
- raise the parking brake lever by three sector teeth;
- tighten the adjusting nut so that both rear wheels turn by hand with considerable effort;
- lower the lever of the parking brake actuator to its lowest position and make sure that both rear wheels rotate freely, if necessary, check for jamming in the parking brake actuator.
