Handbrake adjustment: 1 - adjusting nut
When replacing brake pads, check and, if necessary, adjust the parking brake adjustment, for which
- set the parking brake lever to the lowest position;
- loosen the tensioner adjusting nut as much as possible;
- press the brake pedal all the way down;
- raise the parking brake lever by three sector teeth;
- tighten the adjusting nut so that both rear wheels can be turned manually with considerable effort;
- lower the parking brake levers to the lowest position and make sure that both rear wheels rotate freely; if necessary, check for binding in the parking brake drive.
