Adjustment of the parking brake is only necessary when replacing the cable or the handbrake drive rod, since the rear brakes have a device for automatic adjustment of the gap between the shoes and the drum.

When replacing brake pads, check and, if necessary, adjust the parking brake adjustment, for which:
  • set the parking brake lever to the lowest position;
  • loosen the equalizer adjusting nut as much as possible;
  • press the brake pedal once;
  • tighten the parking brake by two teeth of the sector:
  • tighten the equalizer adjusting nut until both rear wheels are difficult to turn by hand;
  • set the parking brake lever to its lowest position and make sure that both rear wheels rotate freely.
