Check for leaks of brake fluid from the working brake system and its serviceability.
Parking brake must be adjusted after removing the center console and parking brake trim.

Checking the adjustment of the parking brake cable consists in alternately pressing the lever of the parking brake cable with a screwdriver blade from one stop (pic. 15–36) to another (pic. 15–37).
If during the test the cable arm of the opposite caliper moves away from the stop, then the cable is overtightened, so it is necessary to adjust it.
Press a few times a brake pedal against the stop.
Let go parking brake lever.

Using a special wrench 3343, loosen the adjusting nut of the compensator on the parking brake lever rod until both levers of the parking brake cable touch the stop on the caliper (see fig. 15–34). Then tighten the adjusting nut until both cable arms begin to move. This work must be done by two people.
Move parking brake lever three clicks.
Turn the adjusting nut that secures the compensator to the parking brake lever rod until one lever on one caliper lifts off the stop (see fig. 15–37).
Recheck the parking brake cable adjustment.
