Replacing the brake pads of the Girling brand of the front wheel: A - brake pad wear sensor connector; B - collapse of the inner guide pin; B - lifting the caliper and removing the brake pads
Disconnect the brake pad wear sensor connector.
Loosen the lower caliper mounting bolts, blocking the guide pin.
Raise the caliper up.
Remove the brake pads.
Move the piston as far inside the cylinder as possible with tongs. previously removing, if necessary, part of the brake fluid from the reservoir.
Check the condition of the brake disc and piston dust cap
Check that the piston heat shield is in the correct position.
Install new brake pads and caliper.
Install new lower caliper mounting bolts and tighten them to 3.5 kgf·m
Connect the brake pad wear sensor connector.
Install the front wheels.
Press the brake pedal several times to set the pistons to the working position.
Restore the brake fluid level in the reservoir if necessary.
