Replacement of the front pillar of the sidewall of the body assembly with the door hinge (electric welding in a protective environment)
Shine the wing and the door on the corresponding side. Mark the part to be removed. Drill out the welding points and cut out the removable piece of the post along with the hinge. Straighten along the perimeter of the cut-out part and prime metal with a zinc-containing primer. Prepare a new part and check that the shapes of the part and the hole match. Weld the part by spot welding (gas welding in a neutral environment in hard-to-reach places).
Weld the part with short seams to the upper mudguard reinforcement. Clean up the seams. Restore the protective coating of the bottom. Restore paintwork. Treat closed cavities with liquid wax.
Replacing the front pillar of the sidewall of the body
Remove the fender and door from the respective side. Mark the removed parts of the rack and bottom. Drill out the weld points and cut out the pieces to be removed. Align along the perimeter of the cut-out part and prime the bare metal with a zinc-containing primer. Prepare patches (the replaceable part of the bottom is overlapped) and check the conformity of the shapes of patches and holes. Weld the patch to the post and bottom by spot welding (gas welding in a neutral environment in hard-to-reach places). Weld the bottom with a continuous seam around the perimeter. Clean up the seams. Smooth the surface with tin (if necessary). Restore the protective coating of the bottom. Restore paintwork. Treat closed cavities with liquid wax.
Note. The technological process for replacing door hinges is described below.
