Replacing the mudguard assembly with the front side member
Prepare a new part. Drill holes A and D with a B mm drill. Prepare the parts for welding by sealing the holes with electric welding in shielding gas.
Replacing part of the front side member
The replacement of a part of the front spar is carried out after removing the chassis units and assemblies and reconciling the floor of the body on the calibration and repair slipway.
Replacing part of the front side member
Cut off the deformed part. Drill out the welding points of the deformed part of the side member (with mudguard, front shield and part of the underbody) drill 6 mm. straighten out (if necessary) and clean mating surfaces. Install a new part, fix it and check the gaps. Weld the part with a solid seam Apply a layer of electrically conductive zinc-containing primer to the interface of the part with the mudguard and weld it to the mudguard by contact welding. Smooth out the seams. Restore the protective coating of the bottom. Treat the inner cavity with liquid wax and restore the protective coating of the lower part of the side member and mudguard.
