Front seats with electric adjustment — general description (Audi 100 C3)

Some models are equipped with electrically adjustable front seats; the driver's seat has a position memory.

The height, tilt, forward-backward position, and backrest adjustment can be changed by means of electric motors and actuators. Switches in the door armrest control the operation of the various motors.

Troubleshooting and repair of the system can only be performed using Audi test equipment, and all work on the system must be entrusted to an Audi dealer. The appearance of the main components is shown in Fig. 12.27.
