On-board computer — general description (Audi 100 C3)

An on-board computer can be installed as standard or optional equipment on some models. The computer provides the driver with the following information: fuel consumption, average speed, range, travel time, time of day and ambient temperature; sequentially controlled by the function switch. On models with a display at the bottom of the tachometer, the computer unit is located behind the instrument panel. On models with a separate display on the center console, the computer unit is located behind the glove compartment.

Troubleshooting and repair of the system can only be performed using Audi test equipment; all work on the system must be entrusted to an Audi dealer.
