1. To remove the bulb, open the hood and remove the bulb cover by turning it counterclockwise on the Audi 100 (photo), or by unhooking the wiring harness retaining clip.

10. To remove the headlight seal, open the hood, disconnect the wiring at the back of the headlight bulb.

11. Remove the side marker bulb socket.

12. Remove the two trim mounting screws (Fig. 12.17), push and remove the trim from the guides.

13. Remove the four screws securing the headlight bulb retainer, remove the retainer and discard the seal.

14. To remove the headlight mounting frame, remove both bulb seals on the side to be removed.

15. Unscrew the four screws securing the mounting frame and remove the frame from the vehicle.
