Speedometer Drive Cable — Removal and Installation (Audi 100 C3)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the two screws, pull out the instrument panel enough so that you can disconnect the speedometer drive cable behind it.

3. From the engine compartment, disconnect the speedometer drive cable from the transmission.

4. Remove the speedometer drive cable through the bulkhead into the engine compartment.

5. Disconnect the cable from the mounting brackets and remove it from the vehicle.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
