The engine must be accelerated above 300 rpm, the accelerator pedal must be fully depressed.
Finally, let the engine idle for at least two minutes.
Do not turn off the engine, as the memory will be reset upon restarting.
If the engine does not run due to a malfunction, the starter must be rotated for about six seconds. Do not switch off the ignition.
Remove the gear lever boot. Under it is a plug for interrogating the memory.
Connect the LED probe with probes to the two outer pins on the plug at the top.
Connect a short piece of wire to the contact at the bottom.
To display fault codes, connect the free end of this wire for at least two seconds to the contact at the bottom right.
The LED will first light up for a long time, signaling the beginning of the indication. This will be followed by four flashes with long pauses.
This signal in the form of flashes is a malfunction code.
The signal will repeat after a certain period of time.
If the signal is a 4-4-4-4 code, then no fault has been detected.
If the signal indicates a malfunction, the memory poll should be repeated. There may be another problem with the system.
If there is another fault, it will be displayed.
All this will be repeated until the code 4-4-4-4 appears (fault is not detected).
Finally, with the voltage probe still connected, reconnect the lower contacts to each other for four seconds.
Disconnect the connection, the LED should light up for a long time.
To check, reconnect the contacts for four seconds.
In this case, the code 4-4-4-4 should appear.
The memory of some modifications is reset by itself the next time the engine is started.
Test drive again and interrogate the memory device.
