Order of execution
1. Having turned out the candles, inspect them.
2. If the spark plug center electrode insulator is coated with light brown or steel grey, the carburetor is properly adjusted and the spark plug is working properly.
3. The light gray or white color of the insulator pollution indicates that the mixture is very poor, black soot on the candle - the mixture is over-enriched.
4. If the spark plug electrodes and insulator are oily, either the spark plug is misfiring or the piston rings are worn.
5. Candles before installation must be cleaned with a metal brush, rinsed with gasoline and dried.
6. Adjust the gap between the spark plug electrodes by bending the side electrode. The center electrode must not be bent. Tighten the spark plugs to a torque of 20 Nm (2.0 kgf·m).
