Execution order
1. Open the heater tap.
2. Loosen the clamp (see Fig. Cooling system of a four-cylinder engine) and remove the supply hose (3) or (20) from the thermostat pipe (see Fig. Cooling system of a five-cylinder engine) radiator. On five-cylinder engines, in addition, disconnect and remove the heater supply hose.
3. Remove the cap from the expansion tank and drain the coolant.
4. Reconnect the removed hoses and tighten the clamps.
5. Pour coolant into the expansion tank until its level reaches the "min" mark on the expansion tank.
6. Start the five-cylinder engine and let it idle. The fluid level in the tank will drop. Add fluid to the tank until the level stops dropping. Stop the engine.
7. Tighten the expansion tank cap.
8. Start the engine and let it idle until the fan turns on. Stop the engine and let it cool down. If after the engine has cooled down the coolant level in the tank is below the "min" mark, add liquid to the tank.
