Replacing the coolant (Audi 80 B2)

Set the heater control handle to the "warm" position.

Remove the cap from the expansion tank.

Disconnect the supply hose from the radiator together with the toothed pulley and drain the coolant.

Check the reliability of the fastening of the cooling system hose clamps.

Tighten the drain plug of the cylinder block and connect the supply hose to the radiator.

Fill the coolant to the MAX mark on the expansion tank.

Let the engine run to remove air pockets in the cooling system.

Check and, if necessary, top up the fluid level in the expansion tank.
