Removal
Drain the coolant from the system.
Set the engine crankshaft to the position corresponding to the TDC of the end of the compression stroke of the piston of the 1st cylinder, aligning the mark on the crankshaft pulley with the edge of the protrusion "Z" of the indicator on the cylinder block.
Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
Remove the front timing belt cover.
Loosen the water pump mounting bolts and loosen the camshaft drive belt tension.
Remove the camshaft drive belt.
Remove the water pump.
Installation
Thoroughly clean the connector surfaces and install new gaskets.
Install the water pump and tighten the mounting bolts.
Install the camshaft drive belt. Make sure that the timing adjustment marks are aligned and that the belt is tensioned correctly.
Finally tighten the water pump mounting bolts.
Install the front timing belt cover
Install and adjust the tension of the generator drive belt.
Connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery.
Fill the system with coolant.
Start the engine and remove air locks from the cooling system, check the engine idle speed and ignition timing.

Cooling system details: 1 - carburetor; 2, 3 — carburetor heating hose; 4 - intake rough; 5 - clamps; 6 - coolant temperature sensor; 7 — temperature sensor housing; 9 — branch pipe; 10 — heater pipe; 11 — supply hose; 12 - thermostat box; 13 - thermostat; 14 — thermostat sealing ring; 15 — thermostat cover; 16 — thermostat pipe; 17 — supply pipe; 18 — radiator hose, upper; 19 — radiator pipe, lower; 20 — radiator; 21 — outlet pipe; 22 — middle outlet pipe; 23 - gasket; 24 - pipe; 25 - water pump; 26 — water pump sealing ring.
