Execution order
1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Disconnect the wires from the terminals of the reverse light switch located on the rear end of the gearbox.
3. Connect an ohmmeter to the switch terminals and check the resistance. With the gearshift lever in neutral, the resistance should be infinity (the switch is off).
4. Engage reverse gear. The resistance should be zero (the switch is on). If any of these conditions are not met, the switch is faulty and must be replaced.
