Execution order

1. Open the hood.

2. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

3. Use a screwdriver to pry up and remove the protective caps from the windshield wiper arms.

4. Do not turn it all the way (so as not to damage the threads on the rollers) windscreen wiper arm mounting nuts. Using pliers, pull both arms off the windscreen wiper mechanism roller splines and, having completely unscrewed the nuts, remove the arms.

5. Remove the protective cover.

6. Disconnect the wires from the windshield wiper motor.

7. Loosen one mounting bolt on each side of the windshield wiper mechanism arms.

8. Disconnect the bracket mounting bolt and remove the windshield wiper mechanism assembly.

9. Install the windshield wiper in the reverse order. In this case, tighten the bracket mounting bolt to a torque of 4 N·m (0.4 kgf·m), and the support mounting bolts to a torque of 7 N·m (0.7 kgf·m).

10. The windshield wiper arms should be positioned so that the wiper blades, when at rest, are parallel to the tangent to the windshield contour line.
